What Wend is, and is not

Wend gives you analysis and education to help you think through student loan and mortgage decisions. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and using it does not create any professional or advisory relationship.

The verdicts and numbers are a starting point, not guidance tailored by a licensed advisor. You are responsible for your own decisions, and for confirming anything important with your servicer, lender, or a qualified professional before you act.

Your information

Wend's core flow runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are held on your device and are not sent to us. See the Privacy page for the full picture.

Because there is no account and nothing is stored on our side, we cannot recover anything you lose by clearing your browser, and you should not rely on Wend to keep records for you.

How Wend makes money

Wend is free. When you choose to check rates with a lender through one of our links, that is an affiliate link, and we may earn a commission if you go on to fund a loan. The lender pays us, never you.

Our lender lists are ordered by fit for your situation, not by what we earn. See the Affiliate disclosure page for the details.

Accuracy and availability

Loan and mortgage rules, rates, and lender terms change often. We work to keep Wend current, but we do not guarantee that everything is accurate, complete, or up to date, and the tools are provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind.

We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of Wend at any time.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Crucible Labs LLC and the people behind Wend are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tools or any decision you make based on them. Wend is a free service, and you use it at your own discretion and risk.

Other sites and brands

When you follow a link to a lender or other third party, you leave Wend and become subject to their terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for those sites or their offers.

Our content

The Wend name, the tools, the copy, and the design are owned by Crucible Labs LLC. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial decision-making. Please do not copy, scrape, or republish them without permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the rules around it evolve. The date below shows when they last changed, and continuing to use Wend after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire.
